The 409 was the largest displacement of the first generation Big Block Chevy, with this 425HP configuration being the absolute top of the food chain in Horsepower for the 1963 Model Year when equipped with the Dual Quad Aluminum Winters Intake Manifold Topped with two 4-Barrel Carburetors, 11:1 Compression Ratio, 3/8" Pushrods, and a High Performance Camshaft. The Bel air was a ground pounding unassuming night crawler right off the showroom floor equipped with dog dish wheel covers and dressed in Tuxedo black with Red interior if you did not know what was under the hood in 1963 you may assume this was a plain Jane bel air but make no mistake this Bel Air was the King of the Road for the 1963 model year. A comprehensive restoration was recently completed with laser-straight black paint and a completely refinished red interior. The restoration features close attention to detail and originality. The interior is in beautiful restored condition, boasting recovered seats, a beautiful gauge cluster with a vintage steering column-mounted Sun Tachometer, and a Chrome Hurst Shifter with a period-correct White Shift Knob. The undercarriage is in beautiful restored condition with a complete restoration recently completed.
